President's Five Jewel Award

One important component of our Be-a-Star program is the President's Five Jewel Award for Best Practices in Diversity and Inclusion. Outstanding teams and units are recognized as sector winners for their passion for diversity and inclusion, community service and professional development, and are then eligible to compete for recognition at the national level.

Diversity Week

Each May, Compass Group associates come together for Diversity Week. This is a time when we stop and value how our differences and similarities make us altogether great.

Planned events this year at our Charlotte corporate offices include:

• Compass's Got Talent. Associates showcase their talents and compete for awards.
• Minority Vendor Showcase. Associates meet our top minority suppliers and sample their products.
• Armed Forces Day. We recognize all associates who serve or have served in the military on our Wall of Heroes. In addition, an army soldier is selected to work for Compass Group for one year to learn best practices that may be adopted by the military.
• Lunch-and-Learns. Associates participate in sessions related to diversity and inclusion.
