Commuter Benefits Program
You can save on your commute however you get to work. The Commuter Benefits Program lets you pay for your eligible commuting costs through automatic, pre-tax payroll deductions.
How it works
The Commuter Benefits Program, administered by WageWorks, enables you to pay for public transportation, vanpool or parking expenses with pre-tax money.
WageWorks offers public transit coverage in all 50 states and in more than 350 metropolitan areas, so you're almost certain to benefit no matter where you live.
When you enroll, you are able to set aside up to $125 a month pre-tax for transit expenses and up to an additional $240 a month pre-tax for parking expenses. Amounts above these ammounts will be deducted post-tax. WageWorks uses that money to pay your commuting expenses. You'll see the savings in the form of reduced tax withholding.
You can enroll throughout the year or make changes whenever you choose-there is no open enrollment period. back to top
