Enrollment
Compass Group wants our associates to take advantage of the benefits we offer. You can enroll as a new associate or on a yearly basis during annual enrollment using the Online Benefits Center. But it's up to you to enroll.
New Associates
When you start. You have one month from your benefits eligibility date to enroll. If you do not enroll within that period, the only coverage you will receive is basic life insurance if you are an hourly associate or basic life insurance and Long Term Disability (LTD) coverage if you are a salaried associate.
You will have to wait until the next annual enrollment period to enroll for any other coverage unless you have an employment or family status change and the Benefits Department receives notice within one month or two months depending on the event.
Health Assessment. Remember to complete the Health Assessment as soon as possible to receive your wellness credit. back to top
Hourly and Salaried Full-Time Associates
Annual Enrollment. Each fall, during the annual benefits enrollment period, you may change your coverage for the following year. During the enrollment period, carefully review and update your benefits information.
Employment or Family Status Changes. If you experience an event that qualifies for a HIPAA special enrollment (e.g. a marriage, birth or loss of group coverage for you or a dependent), you MUST notify the Benefits Department within two months of the event date to make changes to your benefits. For qualified status changes (e.g. divorce or gain of group coverage), you have one month from the event date to make changes..
Compass Group will allow a two-month enrollment opportunity from the event date if you or your eligible dependents experience an eligibility change with either Medicaid or the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
