Manager Passport Orientation

To help you begin your professional journey with Compass Group, we offer an orientation and training program known as Manager Passport. You'll get the tools you need to ensure success for you and your team.

Manager Passport has five modules — or Ports of Call — that help you learn who we are, what we do and how we act.

All five Ports of Call should be completed within the first three months of your start date.

Port of Call 1: Your Great Start

An online introduction and overview of Compass Group that includes the people, companies and brands of Compass; Compass's history; our Vision & Values; and the manager's role.

Port of Call 2: Local Orientation

A session conducted by your supervisor to:

• Help you understand all policies
• Make sure all necessary paperwork is completed correctly

You will need to download an MSWord document that explains Compass policies and provides links to tax and I-9 forms. This material should be used in conjunction with the yellow New Hire packet.

Port of Call 3: Sector Orientation

A session where you will learn more about:

• Your sector and its specific policies and procedures
• Special programs your sector offers to your customers and associates

You will have the opportunity to spend time with other managers who are also starting their journey with Compass Group.

Port of Call 4: Human Resources

This session introduces you to the Compass Group Human Resources Department and its programs. You will learn about:

• Field HR team
• HR Service Center
• Annual appraisal process
• Recognition programs

Port of Call 5: Creating and Implementing Your Personal Development Plan (PDP)

This session will teach you how to create a PDP that will help you achieve your career goals and further Compass Group's vision.
