Our Zero Tolerance Discrimination and Harassment Policy

It is the policy of Compass Group North America and its affiliated companies to:

Provide a work environment for all of its associates that is free from discrimination and harassment based on sex, sexual orientation, race, religion, color, disability, age, pregnancy, childbirth or any related condition, national origin, veteran status, genetic information or any other unlawful factor as defined by applicable state and federal laws.

To this end, we will comply with and strictly enforce federal, state and local laws that prohibit discrimination or harassment based on any of these factors.

Associates who by act or omission discriminate against or harass any associate based on such factors shall be subject to disciplinary action, which may include discharge from employment.

Communicating complaints

If you feel you are being harassed and it is interfering with your ability to do your job, bring your complaint to our attention under the Open Communication Policy.

Any associate who brings a complaint to the company's attention is assured that the matter will be fully and fairly investigated and that it will be dealt with promptly, and in confidence to the extent possible. Only those who need to know will be involved or informed of the complaint, and the company will take immediate and appropriate corrective action, including disciplinary measures, as warranted.

How to report harassment

To initiate a complaint of harassment, report your concerns to your immediate supervisor. He or she will make recommendations for resolving the problem, and when appropriate will initiate an investigation.

If your concern remains unresolved, if you are not comfortable discussing the matter with your immediate supervisor or if your concern involves him or her, direct your concern to the next level of management and, if necessary, up through the chain of command within the company.
