What does developing your associates mean to you?
This means helping associates identify and use their strengths to find the best training path to facilitate their growth and success with Compass Group.

Have you seen a difference in your associates after they’ve completed a Compass Group leadership development or training program?
I send associates to leadership development and training programs such as DDL, Eurest Culinary Academy, Project Readiness, and ADAPT every year. Each associate takes something different out of these opportunities. Overall, I notice a new level of engagement and a different energy after an associate goes through a leadership development or training program.

What advice do you have for Compass Group associates looking to develop their careers?
Take advantage of the vast training and development opportunities that Compass Group has to offer. Be a leader and don’t wait for someone to hand you the opportunity. Put your hand up and keep asking, “What’s next?”

What made you smile at work today?
I send every associate, hourly and salary, a hand written card with movie tickets on their birthday as a special way to say “thank you.” Today, an hourly associate came up to me to say thank you for the birthday card and told me that no other manager in their career had done something like that before. That brought a smile to my face.

Is there anything that you are really passionate about outside of work?
My family, golf, and traveling. Not necessarily in that order!
