Meet Arlyne: Associate Spotlight Vol. XV

Arlyne Mata

Arlyne is an Assistant Manager with Eurest. She began her career with Compass Group in 2011 as a frontline associate and has held a variety of different roles over the last 6 years including Barista, Office Assistant and Office Manager. Arlyne was recently promoted to her current management role in October 2017.

According to Kevin Funderburg, Eurest District Manager, “Arlyne creates a positive impact for the organization and the client in every new position that she holds.”

Describe your proudest moment at Compass so far.
I’m living my proudest career moments right now. My current account is new to Compass Group and the client is pleased and constantly gives our team recognition and support.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
I’m challenged every day in this role. There is a never ending flow of growth and learning opportunities.

What made you smile at work today?
My team. As we are at a new account, it has been my responsibility to introduce existing associates to the Compass Group way. You can feel the positive vibes at the account.

What is the best career advice that you have ever received?
Use every job as an opportunity to learn something new, you never know what will come from it.

Do you have a favorite quote or personal mantra?
Climb the mountain so you can see the world, not so the world can see you.
