Meet Jacob: Associate Spotlights Vol. II

Jacob Clodfelter

Jacob is a Controller/ADDS with Chartwells Higher Education at the University of Nevada, Reno. Jacob joined the company in 2012 as an hourly associate and transitioned into the Manager in Training (MIT) program during the summer of 2015. He graduated the MIT Program in 2016 and has been in his current role since April 2016.

Describe your proudest moment at Compass so far.
My proudest moment at Compass was when I had the opportunity to speak on the MIT panel at the Chartwells Higher Education roadshow. This allowed me to showcase the MIT program and Student Success, and highlight future opportunities for others.

What is the best career advice that you have ever received?
If you are comfortable, you are never leaving room for growth.

What has been your favorite training or leadership development course that you have completed at Compass?
DDL (Developing Dynamic Leadership) – by far, hands-down!

What is your favorite dish to make at home?
Enchiladas

If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why?
I would want to be able to time travel so that I could visit historical events and experience them first-hand.
