Harmon Swartz

Harmon is a District Manager with CulinArt. Prior to completing culinary school, Harmon worked in IT. Since kicking off his culinary career, he has worked with Bon Appetit and Eurest. He joined CulinArt in 2016 and currently manages several accounts on the West Coast.

What do you find to be an important aspect of managing a team?
Make sure your associates feel heard and appreciated. Overall, I’m very fortunate to work with a great team.

What does developing your associates mean to you?
A key to keeping my team motivated is to support their career development. I stress the importance for them to develop their successor and fine-tune their delegation skills. In addition, I challenge them to develop innovative ideas to raise our service level, customer experience, and to continue to engage our clients.

What advice do you have for Compass Group associates looking to develop their careers?
Diversify your work experience and take advantage of the different resources that Compass Group has to offer. Always seek out opportunities for learning.

Is there anything that you are really passionate about outside of work?
I am involved in community theater and am currently in a production. I also coach fitness classes and love motorcycles!
