Say Hello to Ray Betances

Ray is a finance solutions manager on the national sales team and he’s been in this role for eight months.

What’s the first thing you do at work each morning?
Usually get myself a strong coffee: Americano with an extra shot or double espresso from the coffee dispenser.

What is one of your greatest strengths at work?
I’d say my ability to learn and adapt quickly. Compass is vast with a lot of moving parts and it has been an incredible learning experience thus far.

What are you currently reading or watching?
Reading: “Meditations” by Marcus Aurelius. Watching: “Shameless,” “Ballers,” and “Ozark.”

What do you like to do in your free time?
Dad duties take up most of my free time, and house projects and chores come in at a close second. After that its gym, tan, laundry. I’m only kidding – I don’t do laundry. But I do play softball, mountain bike and enjoy karaoke. I also love a fine cigar and an exquisite scotch here and there.

What’s the best piece of career advice you’ve ever been given?
I tend to overthink things. The best advice I received was simply, “Don’t think, act. The world will react accordingly.”
